Spartan Cybersecurity Club

We are a group of students at Michigan State pursuing ethical hacking and cybersecurity skills by taking part in competitions like Capture The Flag events. We also organise workshops and events to introduce others to the underappreciated world of cybersecurity and create a fun community at MSU led by the curiosity to explore tech and take everything apart.

We primarily use Discord to share communications about our latest meetings and updates.

MITRE eCTF 2024

The embedded cybersecurity competition is an annual semester-long CTF run by MITRE Corporation. It is an attack-defense CTF which makes participants dive into cryptography and embedded firmware, and design a secure system that holds up to attack against other universities.
